Swimming in circles

Confucious died. Well he probably died of loneliness or fatigue. I mean…what the heck? He had been swimming in circles nonstop for almost 2 days (?) . I swear, he was one weird fish . He killed all my fish… Time to buy new ones and this time I’m getting really tiny ones. Any advice?

Oh I still have my thai fighting fish. What a survivor!

Flash Floods

Ugh . It took me 2 hours to get home because of a waist deep (?) or was it knee-deep (?) flood outside Gate 3 of the Ateneo College. Traffic was crawling at snail-pace. $#%$%#!%! I swear it the “diggings” that’s clogging the streets.

Angelo de la Cruz got released!!

Rebutting her critics, Ms Arroyo also said: “With over one million OFWs [Overseas Filipino Workers] in the Middle East and over 8 million [worldwide], my government has a deep national interest in their well being, wherever they live and work.”

The circumstances of De la Cruz’s release were still unclear. But the announcement that he was finally free came a day after the last Filipino soldiers deployed to Iraq 11 months ago withdrew from that embattled country, after his captors had threatened to behead him. (more)

And with his release, New York Times came out with an editorial , “A Filipino Retreat,” which described President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo’s decision to pull out as a “victory” for terrorists.

It was a hard decision, I’m sure. The US government can criticize all they want. They don’t have millions of citizens in the Middle East whose lives are at stake.

Mom: you look too happy. You’re supposed to look sad when a pet dies.

Stores around Christmas 2003. Does anyone have one. Six months later my daughter is still asking about this doll and I would be the best mommy ever if I could find one.
