Corregidor

I’m going to Corregidor tomorrow with my Spanish classmates and in case you don’t know what Corregidor is, it’s this tiny little island about an hour or two away from Manila by boat. It’s a historical site I think, and there’s a Holiday Inn in there but I’m not staying overnight. I don’t remember the last time I rode in an actual boat on the sea. My dad told me that that part of the ocean is crawling with sharks so too bad for us if the boat sinks, eh? I’m really looking forward to tomorrow, it’s been a long time since anything interesting happened to me.[read more?]

Anyway, right now the features of the domain are:

- Forums- test the alpha version of invision boards, coded by Matt, the former author of Ikonboard in PHP. This version is only available to support team members of Invision boards. It hasn’t been released to the public yet. Expect to encounter bugs so please register and help me test it out. Once it is stable, we will convert to this new board script.

- Stars Yearbook- You can now have your own subdomain like membername.the-protagonist.com and your own ftp password. Please email [email protected] your preferred subdomain name and password.

The bone collector

Today was kinda boring. I stayed home all day and although I coulda gone out I didn’t really feel like it. To kill time early this evening, I saw The Bone Collector in HBO. I’m not really one for detective/crime movies but that was pretty good. One thing’s for sure: I am never, ever riding a taxi alone unless I have a gun with me or something. I want a peaceful death, thank you very much. While I was watching it, I felt torn between feeling thankful that that kind of stuff never happens to me and wishing that that kind of stuff would happen to me so that my life would be a tad more exciting. So that’s how Martin and I met 6 years ago. Yup, It’s been 6 years and at that time, I had no idea how he looked like till he gave me a pic late 1997. Let’s just say Martin was one of my first online crushes before the onset of my raging hormones. I can’t believe he’ll be a priest. And the last time I was with him in San Francisco, he showed me his baby photo with Mother Teresa . And then I realized that he probably was destined to live a holy life.

Anyway, happy 6th friendship anniversary, Martin!

I am Sam

I watched I Am Sam with my mom and my sister this afternoon. We saw it at Greenbelt because we were too late for the screenings at Glorietta and The Power Plant. I Am Sam has a very good story, but how sad! I’m kind of a sucker for drama but I didn’t shed as much tears as I expected. Sean Penn’s acting was quite impressive; he protrayed his role very well you’d really think he was retarded. The soundtrack has a lot of cool Beatles songs; if you’re a big Beatles fan you should watch that movie. [read more?]

Lele is absolutely right. It’s about time we have our own server, irc.the-protagonist.net . Too bad my host doesn’t allow it. If ever we’ll have our own server, Lele should be the network admin. After all, if it weren’t for Lele, the chat wouldn’t grow to 50 or so daily visitors.
