converting b2 to wordpress

All of you know that I installed wordpress at our fated blog. I was finally able to convert the b2 mysql database of nimrodel.net to wordpress . This is how I did it. I also installed a few hacks like styleswitcher ( 12 styles to select), clickable smilies, wap and wap-mobile . The my-hacks.php is just so handy. The wordpress authors just checked in the code that adds a new option where you can enable or disable a hacks file. Wheee, check fated and temporary nimrodel site.

The downside with the conversion is that I have a hard time installing the threaded comments hack. Once I can do that , I will start using the wordpress database for nimrodel.net.

Sites to visit:
- B2 to wordpress databse conversion (how I did it).
- WordPress Documentation
- Download WordPress
- my-hacks.php

I have been thinking of converting too. Mainly because Wordpress seems to be continuely (word ugh) worked on, and b2 is at a standstill. If you did it, let us know if you suggest it and if its worth it. :D

    • I even consider Moveble Type, the community behind is it immense, so many awesome plugins too. Ah choices.

    • I\’m already using it for fated. I\’m just trying to figure out how to work the threaded hack so I can finally use it for my online journal.
