Angelo de la Cruz’ fate

ARMED men (above) read a statement demanding the withdrawal of the Philippine humanitarian team to Iraq with their hostage, Angelo de la Cruz.

As of last night, he has less than 24 hours to live before he gets beheaded.

Imagine that! Oour freaking government took a whole day to find out if he was a Filipino or not and if he needed any assistance.

And today, the President ordered a news blackout on this hostage crisis. The President did not mention whether or not the government would consider withdrawing its troops in Iraq as demanded by the rebel group who abducted De la Cruz on Thursday. Yeah, why would she? Angelo de la Cruz’ fate is at the hands of his captors.
And I’m not optimistic. Before De la Cruz, these insurgents had held hostage and beheaded their American and Korean hostages after their respective countries failed to accede to their demand to pullout from Iraq.

I feel for you in this situation but giving up demands to this “terror thugs” will be the worst situation. And the comment you told of the government getting the news late is wrong. This “thugs” gave the tape to Al Gazeera TV(an Arabic news cable) and ofcourse thats the only way they found out you see??,even CNN use this as a sourse og hostage captive..so there you go!
